Will be holding an
Addiction Support Group
CCC on Thursday nights, beginning Sept. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

(If you’re dealing with substance or alcohol addictions, pornography or even food, you’re invited to attend)

Topics of Discussion will include:
• Recognizing the problem
• Admitting the problem
• Confronting the problem
• You are not alone
• Dealing with the stigma
• It didn’t happen overnight, and it won’t go away overnight
• Addictions affect more than just you
• Being able to talk about the addiction
• Where is the balance between tough love and tolerance?
• Cause and effect
• Responsibility and Accountability
• How NOT to be an enabler
• Anger and where to direct it
and others

This class is designed, not only for those with addictions, but also for family members and friends who are dealing with loved ones who have addictions. There is no charge to attend the support group. We do, however, ask that you commit, as much as possible, to being faithful to attending the group sessions.
We, at CCC, want you to know that addictions and personal struggles should not keep you from approaching God. It is God’s desire to give to His children good gifts, and, if they are struggling, He wants to help by giving you the strength to win your battles.

If addictions are holding you down, join us at CCC on Thursday nights, beginning Sept. 30 at 6:30 p.m. We will be meeting in the downstairs fellowship hall. One of the ways to begin being an “overcomer” is to make your self accountable and to garner support.

      A WORD FROM PASTOR DON KESNER

 

It's exciting to see new people coming into our church. It's even more exciting to see these new people getting plugged in, wanting to become members and taking an interest in the church and the Kingdom of God.

       Unfortunately, not everyone who walks through the doors stay. Some decide that either they don't like the service or that this church isn't what they are looking for, and that's okay.  But I get concerned about the ones who seemed to like the church, but somehow, I, as a pastor or we, as a leadership fail to follow-up in a timely or proper manner.

      Therefore, one of the key items in any growing church in to become organized to the point where we know what we're doing. It's pertinent that we have strong Sunday School classes, that we have our ministries in place, and that we have a method of proper follow-up, whether it is for a first time visitor, or for someone who has been missing from our congregation for more than two weeks.

       So, in order to get our committees organized, our methods in place and our right hand knowing what the left hand is doing, we will be having a SPECIAL ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING on SUNDAY NIGHT, JULY 11, at 6pm, for anyone, and everyone who wants to be included in any type of ministry at CCC.
